App vs. browser: which is right for you?
Our native Android app offers offline account access, push notifications for deposits and withdrawals, and faster load times. The iOS web app and browser version work on all devices and require no installation. Choose the app if you want notifications and speed; choose the browser if you prefer simplicity or use multiple devices.
Device compatibility and system requirements
Our Android app runs on Android 7.0 and later. Our iOS web app works on iOS 12 and later. The web version runs on any modern browser—Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge—on desktop, tablet, or smartphone. We recommend updating your device to the latest OS version for security and performance. If you use an older device, the web version is your most reliable option.
Troubleshooting common installation issues
If you cannot install the Android APK, check that your device allows installation from unknown sources. Go to Settings → Security → Unknown Sources and enable it. If you see a certificate warning, this is normal for APK files downloaded outside the Google Play Store; tap "Install anyway" to proceed. If the app crashes after installation, clear your app cache or reinstall. For iOS, if "Add to Home Screen" does not appear, ensure you are using Safari and tap the share icon at the bottom of the screen. If the web version loads slowly, clear your browser cache and cookies, then refresh the page.
Data, permissions, and account security on halona
Our app requests permission to access your device's camera (for identity verification selfies) and contacts (optional, for account recovery). We do not access your photos, messages, or location without your explicit consent. All data sent between your device and our servers is encrypted using TLS 1.2 or later. Your password is hashed and never stored in plain text. We do not share your device information with third parties. If you lose your device, log in to halona on another device and change your password immediately. Your account remains secure as long as your password is unique and strong.
